Environmental Monitoring

AFFIX is committed to reducing the environental footprint of manufacturing technologies. As part of this process, real world applications are being benchmarked to understand their current energy and raw material use.

The initial calcualtions carried out have been carried out for a washing machine drum from Electrolux. The graph below compares the current energy requirements and emissions from those which can be expected as a result of AFFIX technologies. The red bar shows the expected results from calculations carried out at the start of the project. The green bar shows the latest figures, taking into account technological developments within AFFIX.
